"POWER FACTOR"
(The way in which energy efficiency is measured)
What is Power Factor?
Power factor is the percentage of electricity that is delivered to your house and used effectively, compared to what is
wasted. For example, a 1.00 power factor means that all of the electricity being delivered to your home is being
efficiently used. However, most homes in America today have a .78 power factor and in some cases even lower.  This
means that in most homes, 78% of the electricity that passes through your meter is being used efficiently and 22% is
being wasted by your inductive load (meaning by all of the electric motors in your home).  With a lower power factor,
the utility has to deliver more electricity to do the work than is needed. By using a power factor optimizer such as the
Power Save 1200
tm, the power factor can be optimized to .95 to 1.00. This power factor correction will increase the
effective use of your electricity and lower your consumption, WHICH IN TURN LOWERS YOUR POWER BILL!!

Has the Power Save 1200 been tested and approved?
The technology of the PS1200 was developed by NASA and is recognized by power companies. The U.S. Department
of Energy has stated that optimizing the power factor will lower the power bill.

Will the PS1200 work in my home?
As long as the circuit panel is of the modern type using circuit breakers and not screw-in fuses, the power save system
will work on any single phase electric application for homes.

How does the Power Save affect the appliances in my home?
The Power Save 1200 will not negatively affect your home appliances. In fact, the system will have a positive effect due
to its power factor correction. Motors will run at least 10% cooler which will extend motor life. By reducing surge,
elements in bulbs and other heating elements will operate under less stress and will last longer.

What kind of actual savings can I expect with the Power Save 1200?
The savings are determined by many factors. The size of your home, the amount of inductive motor load combined
with the amount of time that the load is running and the amount that you are currently paying per kilowatt hour for
electricity are all variable factors. In general, customers report a savings of 10% to 25% off their actual power bills.

Are 3 Phase/ Commercial Power Save Systems Available?
Yes! We have two standard 3 phase systems available, the Power Save 3200 and the Power Save 3400.CLICK HERE
